Maryland law sets all notarial act fees. These cannot be changed.

In-Person Notarial Acts 

• $8 per notarization

• $4 per additional copy signature

• IRS mileage rate × round-trip miles + $5 travel fee

• (Current IRS rate: $0.70/mile)
  Travel is calculated from ZIP 21230.

• $30 per RON notarization

We ensure full transparency and full compliance with Maryland notarial laws. Payment processes differ slightly depending on the type of appointment.

All remote notarizations are performed through Proof (formerly Notarize).
RON payments are processed entirely within the Proof platform.

• Signers pay directly through Proof at the time of the session.

• Fees are shown before the session begins.

• Proof automatically issues your receipt and audit trail.

• No payment is collected through Square for remote appointments.

In-Person Appointments

We do not require prepayment when you schedule. Instead, we securely collect a payment method at booking to hold the appointment. You are only billed after your notarial services are completed.

How Billing Works for In-Person 

Because pricing varies based on your specific needs, final charges are confirmed at the end of your appointment. Once confirmed:

• Your card on file will be manually charged through Square, or

• A Square invoice will be sent if you prefer itemized invoicing before payment.

Variable pricing may include:

• Number of notarial acts

• Additional signatures

• Travel mileage (if applicable)

All transactions are processed through Square’s PCI-compliant system for your security.

Receipts & Itemized Breakdowns

• RON: Proof automatically emails a receipt and secure audit log.

• In-person Square automatically emails a detailed receipt including notarial acts, travel fees, and any add-on services.

In-Person Mobile Notary

1. Book your appointment
Schedule online or call/text for availability, including same-day or after-hours requests.

2. Prepare your documents
All documents must be completed but not signed before your appointment.

3. Bring valid identification
Each signer must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.

4. Meet at your location
We travel to your home, office, hospital, or agreed meeting location within the Baltimore area and surrounding counties.

5. Sign and complete notarization
Documents are signed in the notary’s presence and completed during the appointment.

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

1. Book your online appointment
Schedule your session through our booking system.

2. Receive confirmation and upload instructions
You will receive a confirmation email with instructions to submit your completed documents for upload into the secure platform.

3. Access your secure session link
A secure link will be provided to join your notarization session through Proof (formerly Notarize).

4. Complete identity verification
Before your session, you will be required to verify your identity through the platform.
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required.

5. Join your live video session
Meet with your notary online to complete the notarization.

6. Receive your completed documents
Your notarized documents and receipt will be provided through the platform after the session.

Before Your Appointment

To avoid delays or rescheduling:

• Documents must be filled out but not signed

• All signers must have valid, unexpired ID

• All required signers must be present (in-person or online)

• For RON: device with camera, audio, and stable internet connection
